The town of Belhaven!

Belhaven is a little town on the water, a two hours drive on HWY 264 coming from Raleigh, our state capitol.

The town of Belhaven has a nice historic and colorful downtown waterfront, a museum, a few gift shops which most of them are family owned. For seafood lover, this town has great restaurants and for those not too passionate about food from the sea, there's also great hamburger places... and of course, walking around this place you can always find lots of friendly people.

And here is a fun fact about this town: It's the home of  Clifford James “CJ” Wilson, who is an American football defensive end for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL. Wilson played with the Green Bay Packers when they became Super Bowl XLV Champions in 2011.

                            belhaven parade

This year, this town will celebrate the 75th annual 4th of July celebration, starting Saturday July 1st after noon. The four days event will bring visitors from near and far. Food and crafts vendors will be available the four days. Our Creations will have a booth there offering our products. Feeling like dancing? Music on the street is a must go. And of course the 4th of July parade that also includes a Little Miss Independence pageant and Miss Independence Pageant.

                                                                                   belhaven pageant

After the parade, around 1:30 pm starts the "Mud Run" which consist on trucks driving thru a hole full of mud, personally I think is funny, loud but fun, if you're into that kind of stuff.

Then you can go take a nap and come back to find a really good spot by the waterfront before 9 pm on the 4th of July to enjoy the fireworks also!!

So, if you don't have any plans or you're actually looking for something to do during this holiday weekend, come to the town of Belhaven! check out our booth and enjoy the music, the dancing, the parade, the food, the fireworks and everything else that this historical town has to offer!

and let's all celebrate, Happy Birthday America!!!
